Now is the time to do a 401k check up and see if you are maxing out your 401k plan. The 401k max for individuals under the age of 50 remains $19,500 for 2021. If you are over the age of 50 (or turn 50 in 2021), you are allowed an additional $6,500 “catch-up,” bringing the total to $26,000. Contact your employer to make any changes if necessary.
